MUSICAL MENTORING

Musical Mentoring Photo_edited_edited.jp

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Gold Coast Chamber Players mentors talented young students by including them in professional concerts or by coaching them in their classrooms. That includes 35 instrumentalists, a choir, a composer, and a painter!

Violinist Ji Soo Choi, was in her third year at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City when she performed with GCCP. Here’s what Ji Soo had to say about her experience:

“When I came to perform with the Gold Coast musicians, I was nervous and excited, at first.  But when I started to make music with them, I could feel their energetic colors and warmth. They were my friends and mentors who gave me lots and lots of advice, ideas about music, and knowledge about being a musician in general. From the beginning until the last day, I felt that making music with the Gold Coast musicians was the best experience I ever had.  Sharing and making music with passionate musicians and meeting new people who love music as much as I do made me feel confident and warm in my heart.”
