Google Keyword Planner (also known by its original name, " Google Keyword Planner ") is a free tool that is part of Google Ads . Although it is originally aimed at planning search ad campaigns on Google, it is also very useful if what we want is to plan our SEO positioning strategy.

The keyword planner gives us information about the search volume of a keyword, suggestions of related terms, search volume and trends, level of competition and much more. It is important to note that the information on the number of searches it offers is more precise if we are investing in Google Ads campaigns; otherwise, this information is given as a range (for example, "between 100 and 1,000 searches per month"). To get started with Google Keyword Planner, if you don't already have a Google Ads account, follow these steps: GSelect the option to create a new Google Ads account. Here a menu will appear to select the objective of your account: more phone calls, more sales and subscriptions on a website or more visits in a physical establishment. Select "Switch to expert mode" below and then "Create an account without a campaign". Confirm your business information and click Submit to finish creating your account. By clicking on "Explore account", we will directly access the "Overview" section. Once there, go to the Tools & Settings --- Keyword Planner section. Now you can start your research!
